Across all the lands and every sea
From bluest water to the greenest tree
They say there’s nothing, however lovely
Can compare to the Jewel of Glastonbury
Not Solomon’s horde under lock and key
Nor King Midas’ gifts, given for free
Nothing exists holds a candle to thee
Sweetly sparkling Jewel of Glastonbury
Isle of apples and the hawthorn tree
‘tis true: that place where such wonders there be
Forsooth boasts no greater glory than the
True and mythical Jewel of Glastonbury
Now that I know of the Jewel’s story
I know and I fear I’ll never be free
I’ll spend all my life just longing to see
That magnificent Jewel of Glastonbury
Now I do swear – aye by this I decree:
I’ll set out and quest most valiantly
Try and travail by any degree
To witness the famed Jewel of Glastonbury
